Founder Sarah Preckler is laureate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Ghent, Belgium) in fashion, textile and stage costume design.

Breaking down the script to determine costume needs, the Laboratoire can provide stage clothes, helping actors to portray a character, based on age, gender role, historical era, season, time of the day and so onward.

Theatrical costumes can be as identifiable with a character as the actor who plays the part.
